Transmission Games was one of Australia’s largest independent game development studios. There were over 100 employees working on a number of different sports and flying games. I was brought on as tools programmer and quickly became lead of one the two internal technology teams.
Key Roles:
- Writing a city generation tool that combined OpenStreetMap data and 3D models to recreate London.
- Working on a C#/.NET, WPF based level design tool, allowing designers to layout 100 square kilometer levels.
- Creating a build pipeline which converted the gigabytes the level databases and assets into PS3, XBox360 and PC builds.
- Overseeing the creation of core C++ libraries for job dispatching and database management.
